Clinton County’s relocation into the new Annex Building will be complete by the end of this week as the last remaining offices — the Prosecutor’s Office and Circuit Court — move into their new temporary space on Friday, October 31.

The Prosecutor’s Office will be in Suite 302, and the Circuit Court will move to Suite 306 on the building’s third floor. Both offices will remain in the Annex until renovations to the historic Courthouse are complete.

Circuit Court Judge Brad Mohler noted that the court will conduct limited hearings on Thursday, October 30, before fully closing on Friday, October 31, and Monday, November 3. “Once we are relocated to the Annex, we expect to resume hearings and normal court operations,” Mohler said. “We may need to make some adjustments for jury selection during criminal trials, and we’re working through those logistics.”

The move marks the conclusion of a two-week transition that began October 20, during which all county departments located in the Old Courthouse relocated to the new Annex and Old Stony buildings. All county business relocated to the Annex will be fully operational by Tuesday, November 4.

A public open house and ribbon-cutting for the Annex will be announced within the week.
