The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that the culvert project near County Road 950 West on State Road 38 will begin in October with a wrap-up date set in November.
Crews are expected to begin work to replace the culvert on Tuesday, Oct. 15 with a tentative completion date set for Friday, Nov. 15. During the construction, State Road 38 is expected to be closed to traffic in the area.
The culvert replacement was expected to begin in August, but the department team stated that the construction was delayed in accordance with the contract, which stated that the section of road west of Mulberry could not be closed at the same time as the section east of Mulberry.
