David Byrd Jr., 72, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, at his home in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born in New York, New York on March 19, 1952, a son of the late David Byrd Sr. and Thelma Byrd.
David was married to Debbie Byrd and later divorced.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he earned an honorable discharge.
Daivd was a production Clerk at Prairie Industries, RDC at Plainfield Correctional Facility, and he was employed for 15 years at the United States Postal Service in Indianapolis.
David was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending his days watching football and basketball, rarely missing a game.
Survivors include his girlfriend of 14 years, Lisa K. (Wagoner) Walters; children, Whitney Nicole Byrd, Mychal (Ashley) Byrd, and Dathan Byrd; four brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
No services are planned. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
