David C. “Cary” Fisher, 85, of Frankfort, Indiana, passed away October 27, 2024 in his home.  He was born on September 7, 1939 in Frankfort to Homer and Mabel (Sites) Fisher.  He married Jayne A. Skinner on August 29, 1961 and she preceded him in death on July 2, 2003.

A lifelong Clinton County resident, Cary was a graduate of Frankfort High School and served in the United States Army National Guard.  He owned and operated the Foreign Car Center and after he closed his shop in the late 1980’s, he worked for Subaru.  He was a past member of the Archery Club and enjoyed target shooting, boating, water skiing, and fishing.  He was a huge NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt and had become an avid Fever fan.  He was looking forward to the newest Yellowstone season.  One of his greatest joys was hanging with the guys.

Surviving are his Daughter: Sherry Morrison of Frankfort, Granddaughter: Nikki Morrison of Frankfort, Nieces: Vicki Griggs of Frankfort and Judy Anger of Louisiana, Cousin: Bob Hodson of Missouri, and Companion: Mary Patchett of South Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a sister: Mary Jo Caldwell.

A gathering of friends and family will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main Street, Frankfort.  Our time together will conclude with a time of memory sharing.  To honor Cary’s wish, the family asks that all in attendance dress casually and wear a NASCAR or Fever shirt if possible.  Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort.  Memorial donations may be made in Cary’s honor to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Pediatric Neurology, 8414 Naab Rd. #205, Indianapolis, IN 46260 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Please visit goodwinfuneralhome.com, where you may leave a condolence.
