The City of Delphi announced that it will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the city during the month of October, which could cause temporary low water pressure and water discoloration for residents.
Residents experiencing rusty-colored water during the month have been encouraged to run their faucets until the water runs clear, and washing machines should be ran for one full cycle before washing clothes to ensure no discoloration occurs to lighter clothing.
For questions, contact the City of Delphi Water Department at 765-564-3944.
“Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated,” Water Superintendent Craig Myers released.
