The new Dollar Tree store on West Walnut Street in Frankfort is showing rapid progress toward opening its doors. The store location was originally a CVS outlet before the new CVS opened at the corner of Jackson and Walnut and consolidated the East and West CVS locations.
Even as the new Frankfort Dollar Tree location is working toward its opening, Dollar Tree Inc. (DLTR) this week announced closure of 970 Family Dollar locations and 30 Dollar Tree locations nationwide, due to billion dollar losses by the company. Dollar Tree nationally has 16,000 stores in the 48 contiguous states, 200,000 employees and 25 distribution centers nation-wide.
