Domestic Violence Call Results In Arrest Of 20-Year-Old Frankfort Man

Reports of a domestic situation led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man in Frankfort for five felonies following him barricading himself within another residence Wednesday evening.

On Feb. 12, just before 10:15 p.m., Frankfort Police Department officers responded to the 600 Block of E. Washington St. in Frankfort for a report of a domestic, which led to an investigation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect, later identified as Juan Gomez Hernandez, 20, of Frankfort, authorities report.

The department released that Hernandez was located at a different address than the initial report, and he had briefly barricaded himself in the residence. Officers reported that they negotiated with him, and he exited the room in which he was barricaded, which led to his arrest.

Hernandez was arrested on charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, Level 5 Felony, domestic battery with moderate bodily injury, Level 6 Felony, strangulation, Level 6 Felony, criminal confinement, Level 6 Felony, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, Level 6 Felony and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, Class C Misdemeanor.

All reports from the incident will be reviewed by the Clinton County Prosecutor.
