Dorothy Ellen England, 70, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at her home in Jamestown, Indiana. She was born on January 23, 1955, in Greencastle; a daughter of the late Richard Spencer and Evelyn (Pratt) Spencer.
On October 3, 1981, she married John Wayne England. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2013.
Dorothy graduated from Granville Wells High School in 1974. She was employed at Walmart, Jamestown IGA, and at the Dover Christian Church daycare.
She was a member of Jamestown Christian Church. Dorothy enjoyed collecting gnomes, watching soap operas and her beloved pug.
Survivors include her children, Joe England of Lebanon, Linda (Shane) Edwards of North Salem, and Jennifer England of Jamestown; grandchildren, Dakota (companion, Raven) Dunbar, Ciera (Levi) Ping, Dalton Dunbar, Cara England, Mykelty Strode, and Arizona (David) Baldridge; nine great grandchildren; and brother, Frank Foreman of Franklin.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sisters, Vickie (Jake) Cookenour and Janie (Mac) McMurtree.
Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Jamestown Christian Church, 900 North Lebanon Street, in Jamestown, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Porter and Hunt Funeral Home & Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
Memorials may be directed in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
