Deputy Browning joins the department as a lateral transfer after serving four years with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division as a Conservation Officer. During his tenure there, he gained experience as a K9 Handler, Sonar Operator, and Field Training Officer.
Despite opportunities to continue his career elsewhere, Deputy Browning chose to make the Howard County Sheriff’s Office his professional home, highlighting the strong sense of camaraderie, culture, and purpose that the department fosters.
Captain Buckley welcomed him, saying, “We’re proud to have Deputy Browning with us and look forward to his contributions to keeping our community safe.”
