Emergency 911 Purdue Extension summer workshop has now come to a close- or at least for now. A few of these participants now want to become firefighters. The workshop gave the children a truly memorable experience that they will not soon forget. They were able to ride in the Fire truck, use a fire hose, and spray out fires with a fire extinguisher.
Firefighter Jeff Moore and Jared Catron expertly facilitated this event throughout the week, engaging 10 participants aged 9-13. The children gained valuable insights into fire department operations and safety protocols. They also participated in interactive sessions with Clinton County EMS, Clinton County Central Dispatch, and Lifeline. The program culminated in a luncheon with the on-duty crew at Frankfort Fire Headquarters.
