Fairon Ray Jones, 73, of Frankfort, passed away November 1, 2026 peacefully in his home. He was born September 17, 1953 in Monticello, Kentucky to Thomas Ray and Monetta Jane (Melton) Jones. He was previously married to Edna Jones and she passed June 10, 2018.
Fairon was a mechanic by trade and worked a number of different placed through the years including Exide, Del Monte, Donners Chevrolet, and Indiana Packers. In addition to his work, he enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.
Surviving are: his son, Rodney (Kimberly) Jones of Frankfort, his son Edgar Samuel “Sammy” Jones of New Jersey, his daughter, Amanda Jones Woods of Galveston, Indiana, his son, Paul (Valerie) Waldron of Frankfort, his son, Kevin Reed of Nashville, Indiana, his son Scotty of Indiana, his daughter, Michelle of Minnesota, his step-son, Richard Glass of Frankfort; twenty-one grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Anita (Don) Roberts of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas and Monetta; and his step-son, Mark Glass.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Goodwin Funeral Home and the Clinton County Crematory are honored to assist the Jones family.
