Carroll County community members have been invited to participate in the “Flora Depot Day Cutest Little ‘Toot’ Baby Contest” to showcase their children as well as their artistic ability with submissions due next Friday, Sept. 6.
The Flora Depot Railroad and Local History Museum is hosting a contest to find the Cutest Little Toot in town for children ages three and under. Community members may enter by decorating a lidded container with a slot on the top for Depot Day attendees to vote for their favorite. Then, participants are instructed to pop in their child’s photo, name, age and other fun details as well as drop a slip with their contact information inside the can. The can may then be delivered to Flowers and Friends in Flora by Sept. 6 for entry.
The cans will be displayed at Fire Pizza in Flora, and then they will be moved to the Depot on Sept. 28. Community members may vote for the Cutest Little Toot by dropping their spare change into the cans, and votes will be counted on Depot Day, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. with the winner being announced during the event.
Every entry will receive a gift, and the winner of the contest will be invited to ride in style during the Christmas Parade this year.
All proceeds raised through the contest will be utilized by the Flora Depot Railroad and Local History Museum to continue its service in the community.
