The Community Schools of Frankfort announced Hot Dog alum Albert Hendrix as the new boys basketball coach.
The summer of change continues in the Frankfort Athletic Department—the Hot Dogs have brought in a new football coach, athletic director, and now boys basketball coach.
Hendrix takes over after coaching Lebanon for 15 years, where he amassed 200 wins and two sectional championships (2015, 2018).
“His passion for player development, leadership, and building strong team culture makes him a perfect fit for the Hot Dog family,” the Frankfort Athletic Department said.
In his last season at Lebanon, Hendrix led the Tigers to a 16-8 record, including wins against 4A Evansville North and Mooresville, and a second-place finish in the Sagamore Conference.
Hendrix will lead the Hot Dogs in their first season as part of the Monon Athletic Conference.
The Hot Dogs finished 2-22 last season after posting 10 or more wins in each of the previous four years.
