The Frankfort Community Public Library has announced that it will accept artist and vendor submissions for the upcoming Women’s Expo in March 2025 in celebration of Women’s History Month.
During the expo, the library will highlight the work of female artists and entrepreneurs across the state of Indiana with submissions due on Jan. 1, 2025 to be considered for the expo.
The exposition date is set for Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the accompanying art exhibition being displayed in the Hubbard Gallery from March 8 through March 29. No fee will be required to display artwork or products, and vendors will handle their own sales during the exposition, and library staff will coordinate the sale of exhibition artwork.
Vendor and artist participation requests are due to the library no late than midnight on Jan. 1. Interested parties may send an email to Arts and Education Coordinator Lori Brubaker at [email protected]. Female business owners may reserve a space to promote or sell goods by emailing the name of their business, the items potentially displayed and photos of the products or booth. For artists, the library released the guidelines that must be submitted, which include:
If you are a female artist, you may submit up to five pieces for display consideration. Please email photos of your artwork along with an inventory that lists the title, size, medium, and price for each item. Acceptable mediums include painting, drawing, printmaking, jewelry, textiles, and mixed media. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. For all artwork sold, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Frankfort Library, which sponsors library arts and children’s programs.
