Frankfort Hot Dog Festival Kicks Off In One Week On Friday, July 26 & Saturday, July 27

With only a week until the biggest festival in Frankfort kicks off, the Frankfort Hot Dog Festival is gearing up for the tastiest event of the year for two action-packed days on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 where charming downtown Frankfort is transformed into a haven for hot dog enthusiasts and family fun.

With the opening ceremony slated for 11 a.m. at Veterans Park on Friday, July 26 in downtown Frankfort, the extravaganza of events are set to kick off throughout the evening and into Saturday with numerous new events and activities for the community to enjoy.

New to the festival this year is the Hot Dog Trail where visitors are invited to devour hot dogs from over 20 renowned food vendors who will create their own unique snap and flavor. Community members will be treated to the awe-inspiring DockDogs World Premier Canine Aquatics Competition where talented pups take center stage with incredible diving feats as well as the spirited dachshund ninja courses destined to entertain audiences of all ages.

The competitions never end at the Frankfort Hot Dog Festival with the state-qualifying street vaulting competition and the hot dog eating competition bound to inspire athleticism and hunger for the title amongst its competitors.

The Hot Dog Festival would be incomplete without the over 150 vendors set to line the streets of downtown Frankfort where they will offer food options, handcrafted art and must-have festival souvenirs.

Visitors may also unwind in the lively family fun zone, which features interactive activities for the little ones, and experience live entertainment alongside the welcoming beer and wine garden.

“We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the support of our community partners and the many hours from our volunteers,” Stevens said. “We hope to see you all in downtown Frankfort on July 26 and July 27.”
