The Frankfort Hot Dogs volleyball team rocketed to a positive track record to kick off the start of the fall season against multiple schools at the Peru Invite on Saturday.
The Frankfort Hot Dogs volleyball team opened their fall season with multiple victories at the Peru Invite, beginning their day with pool play Huntington North where they secured their first victory of the tournament. The team fell short to Hamilton Heights, who concluded the tournament as the champions.
In cross pool action, the girls claimed victory over Blackford and Peru in straight sets to pad their record for the tournament with three victories and one loss.
Jalen Smith acquired 46 assists and 10 kills to then lead the team in aces and blocks. Lily Rockhold racked up 25 kills and five aces to round out the leaders of the offense for the Hot Dogs.
On defense, the team was led by Morgan Harrington with 18 digs and Caroline Queen with 17 digs. The team also highlighted Ella McAtee for her strong display with seven kills and 12 digs.
The Hot Dogs will face off against county rival Rossville in Case Arena this evening beginning at 6 p.m. The rivalry showdown will be broadcast for audiences through the Hot Dog Network on YouTube, which may be found here.
