The Frankfort Community Public Library has announced its first-ever seed swap at the library that has been set for Saturday, April 12 in Harry’s Coffee Bar for community members to exchange seeds with other gardeners in the area.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to noon in Harry’s Coffee Bar at the library. The event is open to all ages, and no registration is required to join.
What is a seed swap? It is exactly what it sounds like.
Bring in your extra plant seeds to trade with your fellow garden enthusiasts.
This is a fun, inexpensive way to add some variety to your garden.
The library released that acceptable seeds would be flower, herb, vegetable and other seeds that are packaged, labeled and less than two years old. Visitors should refrain from bringing invasive species, such as purple loosestrife and Japanese honeysuckle to swap amongst others.
