Frankfort Police Department Releases Further Information Regarding Aviary Theft; $1,000 Reward Offered By Citizen

The Frankfort Parks Department has launched an investigation into the missing birds from the TPA Park aviary with the release of pictures of the birds that were taken during the incident.

The Frankfort Police Department was reportedly contacted at 9:15 a.m. on June 9 regarding the theft of nine birds from the Frankfort TPA Park aviary, and officers, detectives and the crime scene investigator are actively working on the case.

The Frankfort Police Department shared photos of the birds that were reportedly stolen in the incident; however, the department stated that leads on suspects will not be released to the public.

Community members with information regarding the location of the birds is encouraged to contact the Frankfort Police Department at 765-654-4245 or submit an anonymous tip online at frankfort-in.gov under the department’s action center.

The department also released that a local citizen has offered a $1,000 reward for any information provided by the public that leads to the birds being returned to the aviary.
