Frankfort Municipal Utilities is celebrating one of its own after Electric Superintendent Phil Ferrell received the prestigious Kerry Vincent Award from the Indiana Municipal Power Agency (IMPA).

Ferrell was surprised with the honor during a special gathering with friends, family, and colleagues. The award recognizes one lineman each year who demonstrates outstanding character, commitment, courage, and dedication to community service.

This recognition is especially significant, as Ferrell is only the fifth individual ever to receive the award.

“Phil couldn’t be more deserving,” Frankfort Municipal Utilities shared in their announcement. “We are grateful for his leadership, hard work, and the example he sets for the entire team.”

The Kerry Vincent Award honors the memory of a respected lineman and aims to highlight those who go above and beyond in service to their community.

Ferrell’s dedication to both his profession and the residents of Frankfort has earned him praise from coworkers and community members alike.
