The Frankfort Parks Department extended a statement of gratitude toward the Frontier Girls Troop #609 and the Girl Scouts Troop #1570 for their efforts in beautifying the community in celebration of Earth Day earlier this month.
“The Parks Department extends its gratitude to Frontier Girls Troop #609 and Girl Scouts Troop #1570 for their commendable efforts in celebration of Earth Day,” the department released. “Both troops demonstrated their love and care for the environment by planting trees and collecting trash limbs.”
In previous years, the Girl Scouts troop has helped beautify TPA Park and other parks throughout the community by planting flowers and cleaning the parks as a service project to better Frankfort.
