Gary D. Merrill, 82, of Carmel, passed away December 22, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born September 3, 1943 in Clinton County to Charles & Lillian (Mathews) Merrill. He married Patsy Burgan on June 26, 1978 in Savanah, GA and she survives.
Gary was a 1961 graduate of Jackson Township School and then attended Purdue and Indiana State University. He had lived in Carmel for the past 35 years. Gary owned and operated SCI Leasing Group in Carmel and Sheridan, Indiana, retiring in 2008
Gary is survived by his wife, Patsy of Carmel, daughter, Kimberly Scheerer of Fishers and son, Andrew Merrill of Avon. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Beverly Merrill, Rosie Ramsey, Charlene Jones and brother, Steve Merrill.
