The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure in connection with a local project.
Beginning on or after Wednesday, April 1, Grant Street will close between Washington Street and Indianapolis Avenue for complete road reconstruction and widening. The closure is anticipated to last through the end of 2026 but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
The official detour around the closure follows Washington Street to Park Street to Indianapolis Avenue. INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution in and around work zones.
