Hardy Hills Solar Project Planting Continues

The 195 Megawatt solar project near Kilmore, Indiana is in the buffer zone planting stage.  Plant growth for the 1400 acre project will eventually help screen the solar panels from view of the roads.

Evergreen and hardwood trees are currently being planted between the roadways and fence around each solar field.

The project started in fall of 2022 and is nearing completion.  Fencing will be improved and over 10 miles of roads will be repaved before project is complete.
