The Heart of Lebanon was one of 10 Indiana Main Street organizations that was awarded funds by Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs announced Friday.
The Heart of Lebanon will receive $7,500 to hire three new positions including a farmers market manager, youth and family engagement manager and a marketing and communications manager.
“I am thrilled that we are able to support 10 Indiana Main Street organizations in their journey toward state and national accreditations through the Taking Care of Main Street Program,” said Crouch, Indiana’s Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development. “These funds will be vital to helping improve quality of life in these communities.”
Other Main Street organizations receiving funding included Batesville Main Street, Main Street Brookville, Discover Downtown Franklin, Heart of Jasper, Develop New Albany, New Castle Main Street, Inc., Rediscover Downtown Peru, Inc., Seymour Main Street and Downtown Wabash, Inc.
