The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning until 1 am Saturday morning. We are expecting gusts up to 60 miles per hour and steady winds from the north at 30-40 miles per hour. Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. A 2 to 4 hour period of intense wind gusts are anticipated from late afternoon into the evening. People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must
