The Frankfort High School baseball team swept a doubleheader from Southmont by identical 12-2 scores Wednesday night.
In the first game, Jose Lopez pitched a complete game and Matt Berry led the offense with three hits. In the nightcap, Austin Penry pitched five strong innings for the win. Berry added three hits.
Last Friday, Berry had two homers, including a grand slam, and drove in six runs, to lead the Hot Dogs to a 7-5 victory over Kokomo. Victor Cruz earned the win pitching 3 and 2/3 innings of relief.
Clinton Central Softball
Bridgette Royer had two hits, including a home run, and drove in five runs to lead the Clinton Central softball team to a 16-4 victory over Taylor on Thursday.
Lynnsie Wallsmith and Kortney Surber each drove in two runs for Central. Winning pitcher Landree Whiteman went 3 for 3 at the plate.
On Monday, Whiteman had two hits and drove in a run in a 6-4 10-inning to loss to West Lafayette at Michigantown.
FHS Golf
On Saturday, the Hot Dogs finished 13th in the 19-team Twin Lakes Invitational. Xavier McIntosh led FHS with a 90.
FHS Tennis
Frankfort dropped a 3-2 contest to Tipton on Thursday.
Libby Pierce won her singles match 6-2, 6-1 and the doubles team of Alaina Dudley and Kate Gabe split a pair of sets and then won the tiebreaker 10-7.
The Lady Hot Dog tennis team fell to Kokomo 5-0 on Wednesday.
Pierce played well and got some games. The number one doubles team Dalys Garcia Martinez and Kaitlin Barkley also picked up some games in the loss.
