Howard County Mother Charged in Death of Infant

On April 25, at approximately 12:48 a.m., officers of the Kokomo Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Rue Royale North in reference to an unconscious, unresponsive, 10-month-old infant.  Upon arrival, deputies from the Howard County Sheriff’s Department were performing CPR on the infant.  Medics arrived to the residence and transported the infant to St. Vincent Hospital where the infant was pronounced deceased.  The infant was identified as 10-month-old, Ace Groleau.  The Howard County Coroner’s Office ruled the death as a homicide.

As a result of the investigation, Howard Superior IV Court issued an arrest warrant for 30-year-old, Nicole Groleau for Battery with Death to a Person Under 14-years-old, a Level 2 Felony,  and 2-Counts of Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury to Person Under 14-years-old, Level 5 Felony.  The bond was set at $100,000.00, cash only.
