Humane Society Claims Victory In Tour Of Trees Decorating Contest

Wesley Manor Retirement Center announced the winners of the Tour of Trees decorating contest this morning on Partyline on WILO 96.9 FM, 1570 AM and Boone 102.7 FM with a new winner taking the first-place prize this year.

Through the Tour of Trees, Wesley Manor was able to collect over 500 non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Salvation Army and around 175-pounds of pet food that will be donated to the Humane Society of Clinton County.

With the donations, community members received tickets to vote for their favorite tree, and with almost 800 votes cast, the winners of the contest were close in number.

The winner was announced as the Humane Society of Clinton County with 142, followed by last year’s winner the Frontier Girls with 124 votes and the Salvation Army with 117 votes.

A winner’s basket will be delivered to the Humane Society today.
