Kristi Risk, Constituent Relations Director and other members of the Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith’s office are making visits to Counties throughout the state to “make sure concerns and needs are met, and voices are heard”.
Tuesday at Old Stoney in the conference room, three members of Beckwith’s office listened to community leaders and area citizens to ascertain what is on the mind of Hoosiers throughout the state. “They (Governor Braun and Lieutenant Governor Beckwith) are doing everything they can to get to the people and learn what their concerns are”, said Risk.
The Clinton County visit at Old Stoney was held Tuesday May 27, followed by a Carroll County group gathering on May 28th.
Risk said understanding and meeting the needs and concerns of the constituents was the primary reason for the visits. Kaspar Media asked what a couple of the top concerns Hoosiers were having with State Government. Property Tax issues and the ability to reach all areas of Indiana Government offices quickly and easily topped the list.
Risk was asked if local jurisdictions were concerned about the widening budget gap local governments will have to fill was a concern. Risk said Governor Braun, Beckwith and the legislature are very aware of this gap and working on this. Risk pointed out new budgets “do not take effect until 2027” so another budgetary session will be available to the state as local and state governments adjust to new fiscal realities. “Governor Braun is pretty wise; he is a savvy businessman and he’s going to do what’s right for the State,” said Risk.

Kaspar Media is working with the Governor’s office to have Beckwith and Governor Mike Braun on WILO 96.9 FM, WILO 1570 AM and Boone 102.7 LIVE talk show “Partyline” monthly or quarterly so area Hoosiers can ask questions and voice concerns.
