The Indiana Department of Transportation announced an ongoing road closure as well as a temporary road closure in the Brownsburg area expected to cause detours for drivers in the area.
For today, Oct. 22, U.S. 136 at School Street in Brownsburg is closed for utility repairs, and the closure is only expected to persist for today with a reopening expected tomorrow, Oct. 23. Drivers have been instructed to exercise additional caution in the area.
The department further stated that beginning this week, the intersection of Main Street, or U.S. 136, and Green Street, or State Road 267, will be closed for utility work. The closure was expected to either begin yesterday, Oct. 21 or today, Oct. 22. Work will also be taking place in the right lane of Green Street during the construction. The work is expected to last until late November with weather permitting.
