An interagency collaboration between Frankfort police and Boone County agencies led to the arrest of a man on charges of domestic violence.
On Friday, Oct. 11, Frankfort Police Department officers were reportedly dispatched to the 2000 Block of East Wabash Street on reports of an injured female as the result of domestic violence. Following the preliminary investigation, probable cause was reportedly established for the arrest of Adam Rush, 39, and the female was transported to IU Hospital for treatment.
According to reports, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect before discovering that he fled the scene prior to the arrival of the officers. The information was reportedly relayed to the dayshift officers who resumed the search for Rush, and officers discovered his ties to the Lebanon area in Boone County.
The Boone County agencies were reportedly able to locate and apprehend Rush at a residence in Lebanon. Frankfort Lt. Chris Salaba shared his appreciation for the interagency collaboration during the case.
“We are incredibly thankful for the hard work and partnership of our neighboring agencies,” Salaba said. “Due to the fast response and coordination of Lebanon Police Department, Mr. Rush was safely apprehended.”
Preliminary charges were filed for domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury, level 5 felony, domestic battery with a prior convictions, level 6 felony, strangulation with a prior conviction, level 5 felony, criminal confinement resulting in bodily injury, level 5 felony, and interfering with the reporting of a crime, misdemeanor.
Official charges will be filed by the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
