IU Health Clinical Outpatient Dietician Carrie Anderson dedicated her reward from being named the winner of the Dollars for Doers campaign to a Lafayette-based organization that hosts outreach efforts in Clinton County through its partner organization.
As the winner of the Dollars for Doers campaign that recognizes volunteer efforts for staff at IU Health, Anderson dedicated her winning funds for Heartford House Child Advocacy Center in Lafayette, which also serves the Clinton County community through Quinton’s House. As the recipient, Heartford House was presented with a $500 donation to continue its mission.
According to IU Health, Anderson sought to present the award to a smaller nonprofit with a mission that she held a passion for continuing, which led her to Heartford House. Anderson stated that through her volunteer opportunities with Heartford House during multiple of the organization’s events, she saw the impact the organization had on the local community.
“Along with presenting this check, Anderson had the opportunity to tour the facility and learn a bit more about their resources from Executive Director Kristina Lesley,” IU Health released. “Lesley shared their plans to put the funds towards prevention programming.”
