The Frankfort Library is excited to announce our next Hoosier Storyteller: author Janis Thornton! Join us in the Skanta Theatre on Tuesday, May 31 at 6 p.m. for this all-ages, free event.
Our host, Michael Clossin, will interview Thornton about her newest book, The 1965 Palm Sunday Tornadoes in Indiana, which features the stories of more than 100 Hoosiers who experienced the infamous Palm Sunday outbreak firsthand. The presentation will last about a half an hour, followed by questions and then a book signing in the Hubbard Gallery. Light refreshments will be served.
You may already be familiar with Janis’s work including, No Place Like Murder and Too Good a Girl, both of which are accounts of true crimes that happened in Indiana. Books will be available for purchase at this event. This program will be recorded and archived on the library’s Hoosier Storyteller Podcast.
