Geraldine “Jerri” Louise Earl, 87, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at her home in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born in Indianapolis on December 26, 1937; a daughter of the late William Spencer Eugene Shinkle and Mary Margaret (Barnaby) Shinkle.
On December 16, 1995, she married Daniel A. Earl in Indianapolis and later divorced.
Jerri worked as a QMA at West Lake Nursing Home and also held positions at Wake-Up, Speedway, and Low Bobs Smoke Shop.
She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching game shows. Above all, Jerri loved spending quality time with her beloved family.
Survivors include three children, Douglas R. Earl, Kimberly S. Veach, and Mary M. Akin; seven grandchildren, Daniel (Missi) Veach, Nicole (Neil) Hollingsworth, Michael A. Akin, William R. Earl, Amanda C. Earl, Sean D. Veach, and Jeremy E. Akin; six great grandchildren, Avery and Kaylob Akin, Addi, Jaxson, and Zoey Veach, and Jaxson Earl; and sister, Wilma Mackenzie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Daniel E. Earl, Piper S. Earl, and William R. Earl; great granddaughter, Gabbi Veach; and two sisters, Mary Margaret and Delia Ann.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
