Jo Ann Martin, 79, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Zionsville Meadows. She was born on February 28, 1944, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Herbert Z. and Madge J. (Robinson) Gorman.
On June 20, 1982, she was married to Hollis Roy Martin. They were married 22 years before his passing on June 20, 2004.
Jo Ann was a graduate of Southport High School and Indiana Business College. She worked decades in the title industry for Boone and Hendricks Counties.
A friend to many, Jo Ann enjoyed their outings and activities together. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren.
Survivors include son, Jon May of South Carolina; two stepchildren, Elizabeth “Beth” (Eric) Kool of California and Jason (Holly) Martin of Colorado; four grandchildren, Hollis “Hollie” Kool, Miles Kool, Landon May, and Finnegan May; brother, James (Debbie) Gorman of Greenwood; and sister, Marge Riedeman of Florida.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jo Ann was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jack Riedeman.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her care.
