Joanna Ray “Jo” Crews, 76, passed away in her home on July 29, 2026 in Frankfort, IN. She was born in Danville, Kentucky on June 27, 1950 to Charles and Lizzie (Baker) Ray and became the loving step-daughter of Clarence Jackson at a young age. Joanna married Robert Earl Crews on May 24, 1968, and he survives.
Joanna attended Crab Orchard High School and went on to receive her GED the same year that her son graduated from high school. She worked many years at Perry Foam factory. In her spare time she loved to crochet, play slot machines, cook, and travel to see her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband Robert Crews, her daughter Jessie Crews of Lebanon, and her son Robert Dewayne Crews of Frankfort, as well as thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, and seven sisters.
