Beverly Joanne Hoover, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2026, at Independence Village of Avon. She was born on August 27, 1941, in Plainville, Indiana; a daughter of the late Ernest Melvin and Myra Bernice (Kester) Paul.
On March 3, 1963, she married Lewis E. Hoover at the United Methodist Church in Lebanon; he survives.
Joanne graduated from Eagle Township High School in Zionsville and received an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech. She worked as an LPN at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood and Homewood Healthcare Center.
Joanne was an avid photographer and enjoyed being outdoors, birdwatching and gardening and cherished her family above all.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis Hoover; children, Becky (David) Ingram, and Bruce (Beth) Hoover; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Shirly Hale; and sisters-in-law, Mary Paul, June Hoover, and Kay Yater
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Paul and brother-in-law, Orville Hale.
No services will be held. Porter and Hunt Funeral Home and Crematory in Jamestown has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
