John Robert McIntyre, age 49, of Kirklin, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis due to surgical complications.
He was born on December 11, 1976, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis to Sue (Spidel) Rogers and Rudie McIntyre of Lebanon, Indiana. John attended Thorntown Elementary School and graduated from Western Boone High School in 1995. He became the owner and operator of his own landscaping business, a role he took great pride in.
John is survived by his mother, Sue Rogers of Frankfort; stepfather, Joe Rogers; brother, Jason McIntyre; and sister, Callie Rogers of West Lafayette. He loved spending time outdoors, camping, and attending concerts with his girlfriend, Joanna Clemens of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rudie McIntyre.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, IN 46052. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to J.C.A.P., 301 E. Walnut St., Frankfort, IN 46041. John was a proud graduate of J.C.A.P. and remained actively involved with the program.
