Johnna Tyree Manco, 58, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Friday, July 23, 2021, at her home in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born, Johnna Jaylene Cundiff, in Boone County, Indiana on September 29, 1962; a daughter of the late Coy O’ Gay Cundiff and Beverly Sue (Goldsberry) Cundiff.
She was a 1981 graduate of Lebanon High School. Post high school, she would go on to obtain her nursing degree from IVY Tech, and subsequently practice as a nurse for over 30 years. Having spent her entire career specializing in geriatric care, she worked in various nursing homes in both Lebanon and Crawfordsville, IN. Her passion was caring for the elderly, and throughout her career she developed lasting relationships with her patients and their families.
Johnna loved her family dearly and equally loved socializing with her friends, which were many. Johnna was a daughter, a friend, a wife, a mother, a relative, a christian and most of all, an exceptionally caring soul. She will be missed dearly by all.
She is survived by her children, Johnathon R. Manco, and wife Christen (né Johnson) of Crawfordsville, IN, Gilford A Manco of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren, David A. Manco of Crawfordsville, IN, Colton E. Manco & Graham A. Manco of Indianapolis, IN, siblings, Barbara (Larry) Judson of Lebanon, IN, Karen (Irvin) Edwards of Southport, her beloved companion, Mark Stephenson of Lebanon, IN, lifelong friend and family member Vickie Porter, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Johnna was preceded in death by one brother, Gillford O’ Gay Cundiff and two sisters, Bonnie Ann Branaman and Mary Sue Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Myers Mortuary 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 1 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Elizaville Cemetery in Lebanon.
