Johnny Alan Wheeler, 61, of rural Frankfort, passed away July 28, 2025 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born January 6, 1964, in Frankfort, IN, to John and Betty (Harris) Wheeler.
Johnny was a 1982 graduate of Frankfort High School. Following high school, he received an Auto Body Associate Degree from Ivy Tech. Johnny worked for Frito Lay where he accumulated 37 years of dedicated service. He retired from Frito Lay as the First Shift PMO at The Core Plant in Frankfort. A lifelong resident of Clinton County, Johnny enjoyed tinkering on cars, listening to music and attending multiple car shows through the years with his close friends, Fred and Steve.
Johnny is survived by his children: Cody Wheeler of Frankfort, Collin Wheeler of Lafayette, Emily Wheeler of Frankfort, Parents: John and Betty Wheeler of Frankfort, Niece: Ashlee Moore of rural Frankfort, nephew: Kolton (Callie) Martin of Frankfort, brother-in-law: Skip Martin of Frankfort, close friends: Fred Baker of Frankfort and cousin: Steve Gilmore of Ohio, as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Lynne Martin.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 South Main St. Frankfort, IN 46041. Funeral Service will be at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Craig Overman officiating. Private Burial will take place in Bunnell Cemetery at a later date.
