Jordan Brewer Announces Re-Election Bid for Clinton County Commissioner

Clinton County Commissioner Jordan Brewer has officially announced his candidacy for re-election in the 2026 election cycle. First caucused in 2020 and elected in 2022, Brewer has led with a results-driven approach focused on infrastructure, public health, and long-term economic development that bridges the gap between our strong agricultural foundation and a place people want to live in the future.

During his tenure, Brewer has helped deliver major projects for the county, including the installation of a one-million-gallon elevated water storage tank, the construction of new utilities infrastructure in the annexed area of the City of Frankfort out to I-65, and the renegotiation of the Republic Landfill contract that boosted a one-time payment of $1.5 million dollars to the County. This contract also came along with an increase in Tipping Fee revenue received that will generate more than $8 million dollars of new revenue for Clinton County during the lifespan of the current landfill.

Under Brewer’s leadership, Clinton County was recognized by the Indiana County Commissioners’ Association with the Outstanding Team Effort Award for its innovative opioid settlement strategy—one that ensures 100% of funds are directed toward prevention and treatment efforts.
“Our goal has always been to put the community first,” Brewer said. “We’ve made real progress in strengthening our infrastructure, investing in public health, and creating smart, long-term opportunities for growth. But there’s more work to do. I’m running for re-election to keep delivering results that matter to Clinton County families.”
Brewer was also recognized with the Governor’s Leadership Award in 2023 and currently serves as President of the Clinton County Commissioners and the Chair of the Clinton County Republican Party. A lifelong Clinton County resident, farmer, and small business owner, Brewer brings a strong background in finance, agriculture, and public service to his role. Brewer’s basketball clinics and support of the Clinton Prairie basketball program has provided an excellent community outreach service that helps the youth sharpen their skills while also focusing on sportsmanship and responsibility.

The 2026 campaign will focus on continuing the momentum of the past six years with priorities including the courthouse restoration, improved efficiencies in government services, and economic development that preserves the county’s rural character while positioning it for future success.
