Julia A. Basey, 81, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at her home in Jamestown, Indiana. She was born in Frankfort, Indiana on May 9, 1943, the daughter of the late Paul E. and Margaret A. (Sheets) Martin.
In April 1963, she married Charles O. Basey at the First Christian Church in Frankfort. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2016.
Julia graduated from Frankfort High School. She worked at Thorntown Textile then was an Ophthalmologist assistant for Dr. Honan’s office for 40 years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, cruise ships, Branson, the Smokey Mountains, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her two sons, Damon T. Basey and Bradley N. Basey; grandchildren, Zachary J. Basey, Jadyn M. Basey, Corey Johnson, and Tylor Smith; six great grandchildren; and sister, Janet S. (John) Baer.
