Keith Errol Crosby, 77, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 31, 1948, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, eldest son of the late Glenn Curtis Crosby and Virginia Gayle (Cosby) Crosby.
On October 1, 1983, he married the love of his life Jane Eleanor (Brown) Crosby in Lebanon.
Keith grew up on a small family farm in Rochdale, Indiana and became a 1966 graduate of Rochdale High School and attended Vincennes University studying data processing. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1968-1970. Stationed at USAREUR Headquarters in Heidelberg, West Germany. Also served in the Indiana National Guard Headquarters in Indianapolis. In his professional career he worked in the banking and financial industry including Boone County State Bank, Jack Henry and Associates, and State Bank of Lizton where he retired.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved his family dearly. Keith enjoyed the outdoors, camping and especially bird watching. Also, an avid fan of Indiana sports, he rooted for the Colts, Pacers, Fever and NASCAR. Keith held memberships with the Elks Lodge #635 and American Legion Post 113, both of Lebanon.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Janie Crosby; brother, Danny (Lori) Crosby; brothers-in-law, John Brown and David Friesner; children, Christopher Crosby, Chasteven Crosby, Julie (Vernon) Purnell, and Chad (Angi) Gates; grandchildren, Zachary (Kara) Battson, Kaylie (Chris) Browning, Drake (Danny) Koontz, Jordan Flatt, Makenzie (Sam) Harding, Aaron (Reagan) Flatt, Shelby (Zachary) Mayfield, Cole Gates, Shavone (Clarence) Everidge, Brianna Hall/Purnell, and Hannah Hoover; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his sister, D. Jolene Friesner. Funeral Services with Military Rites are planned for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
