Kirk’s Crossing has been a very successful event this weekend. Many that attended the parade told us this year they noticed it was very heavily attended. The weather in the high 80’s didn’t seem to bother most.
Thursday kicked off the festival with Dan’s Fish Fry at the firestation with a non stop line in the dine in and the drive through. We then went to the Kirklin Park to capture the crowning of the Kiddie King & Queen (Hunter Salts & Faylinn Moore) and also the Teen Queen was crowned Bailey Blacker, Miss Congeniality is Courtney Weir, Runner-up is Isabella Plahitko.
A special event held was Kirklin Park Court revitalization Project and ribbon cutting for the Pickleball court and basketball court. (Kim Deck) announced sponsors.

Tournaments were held all weekend on the Pickleball courts.
One event that held interest and lines to get on the ride was the tethered hot air balloon ride.
The horse pull was also well attended. There was live music, beer garden, and much more.

There are many more events we couldn’t get covered. However, this weekend won’t soon be forgotten.
The chicken and noodle dinner at the legion following the parade was a success as always.
Kenny’s Marathon also spoke to us about being back in business after the incident this past March 15th when a vehicle struck the pump in a very serious crash. Kenny and crew continued to operate the station with only one gas pump from March until May 28th. Kenny is thankful for all the loyal customers that were patient and often waited in line to pump their gasoline while he waited for his new pump to arrive.
