North-Central Indiana is set to welcome a transformative new resource—a Community Engagement Center designed to support those in need. This new facility, being brought to life by the Kokomo Rescue Mission, will offer a central hub where skilled professionals from fields such as nursing, law, business, and more can voluntarily provide their expertise to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The Engagement Center will feature a range of essential services, including free classes, medical and legal aid, showers and laundry facilities. Additionally, the Kokomo Rescue Mission will expand its dining room with more seating and round tables, creating an inviting environment for volunteers to connect with guests over meals.

The Mission invited the community to the Groundbreaking Ceremony for this important initiative at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 321 W. Mulberry Street, Kokomo, to celebrate the new amenity in the region. The ceremony will include a time of prayer and reflection as the community embarks on this journey of reaching out together.
