Lafayette Police Department Executes Search Warrants In Investigation Into Human Trafficking & Financial Crimes

The execution of search warrants on two massage parlors in Lafayette and Kokomo resulted in the arrest of two suspects allegedly involved with human trafficking and financial crimes.

On Jan. 22, the Lafayette Police Department Special Victims Unit, supported by multiple department specialty units and partner agencies, reportedly executed search warrants at two massage parlors, including Royal Massage at 405 Sagamore Parkway S. in Lafayette and The Kokomo Massage at 3841 S. Lafountain St. in Kokomo.

The action was reportedly the result of an 11-month investigation into human trafficking crimes that were allegedly linked to the owners of the businesses, and the investigation determined that the establishments were being utilized for the purpose of prostitution under the guise of legitimate massage parlors, authorities report. A detailed inquiry into the operation also reportedly uncovered financial crimes that led to the arrest of Deyang Yu, 39, of Carmel and Airu Wang, 37, of Zionsville.

During the operation, Aaron Corcoran, 40, was arrested for visiting a common nuisance as he was discovered inside Royal Massage.

Four adult female victims were reportedly recovered during the operation, and they were provided with services, support and shelter by the Lafayette Police Department Victim Advocate to ensure they remain safe and well.

The investigation is ongoing, and community members with further information are encouraged to contact the Lafayette Police Department at 765-807-1200.
