The Indiana Department of Transportation announces temporary lane closures on State Road 47 near Thorntown between Front Street and Evans Road.
Beginning on or after Thursday, May 9, crews will close the westbound lane of S.R. 47 in this location. Once work in the westbound lane is complete, crews will close the eastbound lane.
During the closures, crews will be doing bridge rehabilitation work over Prairie Creek. Work is expected to last until the summer but is weather permitting and subject to change.
INDOT encourages drivers to slow down and use caution in this and all work zones, as well as to avoid distracted driving.
