The Learning Network of Clinton County Summer Kids’ Workshop deadline is only one week away for parents and guardians to enroll their children in engaging and impactful opportunities for the summer months.
Registrations for the Summer Kids Workshops will close on May 10 at 5 p.m. Registration may be completed online at lnocc.org/skw-2024 or by visiting the Learning Network office at 1111 S. Jackson St. in Frankfort.
The workshops allow for the youth in the county to experience a vast array of opportunities and educational courses through the month of June, including classes dealing with farms, law enforcement facilities, baking and much more.
In 2023, the workshops boasted 412 participants after continuously growing the program since its inception in 2007 where only five classes were available and under 50 youth in the county were impacted. In previous years, the Learning Network reported that the program cost around $30,000 to conduct to provide new opportunities for every school district within the county.
Programs include video editing, digital photography, robotics, cooking, sewing, farming, outdoor exploration, art, mini police academy, 911 emergency, STEM, music, aviation, young engineers and much more with new classes added to the list of available programs every year.
The deadline for registration is May 10 at 5 p.m., and more information throughout the summer regarding the workshops may be found on the Learning Network of Clinton County Facebook page.
