The City of Lebanon announced that the Department of Public Works will extend its Brush Week into this week to aid in the effort of cleaning up brush and limbs following the storms on Friday.
The department stated that beginning today, Monday, Sept. 30, storm-related debris will be chipped up and hauled away to help with the cleanup following the Friday night storms.
”Hopefully everyone is safe and sound after Friday night’s rain and high winds,” the department released. “We’ve definitely seen our fair share of fallen limbs and even trees throughout the city.”
The department issued a reminder that normal limb and brush rules apply, including how debris needs to be cut up and placed by the curb for pickup. The department requested storm damage to be the priority for the cleanup.
Residents are instructed to ensure that metal pieces are not present in the debris piles as the wood materials will be placed in a chipper.
