Lebanon High School has announced its unanimous selection to receive the prestigious Fall Creek Officials Association Sportsmanship Award for the 2024-2025 school year.
The announcement was made Wednesday afternoon by Mike Frech, the President of the Fall Creek Officials Association. The distinguished honor is awarded to only one school in Indiana every year, and it recognizes outstanding sportsmanship among student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans.
“Lebanon is humbled to be selected for this recognition, which further underscores the commitment of the Lebanon community to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, respect and fair play in all athletic competitions,” Athletic Director Phil Levine wrote. “Lebanon is honored to be recognized by two distinct Indiana officials’ organizations in just the past four years for outstanding sportsmanship and hospitality.
In 2022-2023, the CrossRoads officials Association also recognized Lebanon for its commitment to hospitality.
“This is a tremendous honor for our school, coaches, athletes, event workers, administrators, staff and community,” Levine said. “It reflects the hard work, dedication and positive spirit of everyone involved in Lebanon athletics, from the classroom to the playing field. We are deeply proud to be recognized in this way.”
